What is a DTS? |

The School of Discipleship and Training (EDE) is a transformative experience lasting several months, lived in community and full-time. During this time, you will learn to be a missionary disciple, deepening your relationship with God and discovering your vocation for life. You will live your faith day by day through daily Eucharist, weekly Eucharistic adoration, Lauds, Bible study, formative classes, and mission. It is a time to immerse yourself completely in God’s presence, grow in your faith, and let Him renew your heart through the sacraments and community life.

QUE HAREMOS

El programa de formación esta divido en dos partes

Lecture phase (3 month)

During the first three months, you will experience a period of intense formation and community life, focused on your personal encounter with Christ and discerning your vocation as a missionary disciple. This first stage is aimed at deepening your faith and your relationship with God through prayer, teaching, and sacramental life.
The main topics covered are: Personal relationship with God: You will learn to cultivate a deeper and more constant life of prayer, nourished by the Eucharist and the Word.
Nature and Character of God: You will discover who the Lord really is, his fatherly love and his mercy that transforms our lives.
Inner healing: You will experience processes of reconciliation and inner liberation, allowing the Holy Spirit to heal the wounds of your heart.
Giving witness to your faith: You will learn to share your story and God's action in your life with joy and simplicity.
Biblical Formation and Christian Doctrine: You will deepen your understanding of Sacred Scripture, liturgy, and the sacraments.
Christian Leadership and Fraternal Life: You will grow in virtue, human maturity, and capacity for service, learning to live in communion with others.
During this phase, the Lord will shape and prepare you for mission, strengthening your faith and your apostolic heart.

Outreach Phase (2 month)

After the training period, it is time to go out on mission. For two months, you will live a deeply ecclesial and missionary experience, in which you will put everything you have learned during the training phase at the service of the Gospel. Mission: We will travel to different destinations to put what we have learned into practice, living the Gospel and sharing it with others. Missionary projects: You will participate in various activities, from evangelism to community service, actively contributing to the transformation of individuals and communities.
Teamwork: You will be part of a mission team, where you will learn to work together, apply leadership principles, and solve challenges in the field.
Leadership development: As you face real-life situations, you will strengthen your ability to lead, serve, and guide others in their Christian walk.
Evangelism through talents: You will be trained to proclaim the Gospel through your own gifts—art, dance, theatre, singing, rap, digital media—putting them at the service of the Church.
The EDE is not just a school, but a path to encountering the living Christ, an experience that transforms, renews, and ignites the heart. It is an opportunity to listen to God's voice, strengthen your faith, discover your vocation, and share God's love through your life and service.
“In addition, we must give special support to young people who show leadership potential, so that they can receive training and formation. The young people who gathered before the Synod asked for “youth leadership programmes for the formation and ongoing development of young leaders” (Pope Francis, Christus vivit, 245).
