WHAT IS A DISCIPLESHIP SCHOOL?
“In addition, young people who are emerging as leaders must be especially accompanied, so that they can be formed and trained. The young people who gathered before the Synod called for the development of “youth leadership programs for the formation and ongoing development of young leaders” (Pope Francis Christus vivit 245).
VISION
The Kerygma Discipleship Training School are 20 weeks in which you will experience God and live the adventure of taking His message to the farthest reaches. Apply God’s truth to your life and receive the training to fulfill God’s dream in your life….
The DTS is an intense full-time residential program divided into two parts: the lecture phase and the practical phase. We begin with 12 weeks of classes addressing the fundamental themes of our faith: how to have an authentic relationship with God, how to hear God’s voice, the nature and character of God, identity, vocation and destiny, the Church and the sacraments, relationships in God’s way, evangelization and missions.
PURPOSES
1. Discipleship
Five months where you will get to know God through His Word, the sacraments especially the Eucharist, Praise and Adoration. You will be spiritually accompanied by priests and will be assigned a “one on one” (young staff member) to help you in your human growth. You will also share in small groups and there will be the opportunity every day to pray Lauds communally and have a personal time of prayer with God.
2. Leadership
The young people who participate will be able to discover their protagonism in the Church, assuming responsibilities and growing in service, giving their gifts and charisms.
3. Evangelization
You will be trained to evangelize through your talents such as art, dance, theater, singing, rap or multimedia. You will also be trained in communication skills to give your testimony and preach the gospel.
